F. M. Alexander Technique
We all respond to life and living in our very own individualized and complex way. The Alexander Technique is concerned with the process of un-learning habits that are working against a natural and free structural functioning.
The way we think and how we relate and respond to our surroundings, set up habitual patterns in our physical structure. These habits, unconsciously repeated in daily living and thereby reinforced over time, may lead to limited functioning. The body might show signs of aches and pains, stiffness, limited mobility, loss of balance and structural changes.
AT lessons are normally taught one-on-one, with an individualized hands-on experiential focus.
Common effects:
- increased flexibility and coordination
- feeling of lightness and relaxation
